years ago, with surging
demand for biofuel from
Europe and riding crude oil
prices, investors rushed to
build plants to turn palm oil
into biodiesel. But with
falling oil prices and
changing opinions towards
biofuel many of those
projects were put on hold.
To adapt, biofuel producers
now have to be a little more
creative.

The is only one commercial producer of biodiesel in the country, with capacity of approximately 30,000 tonnes per annum, which are exported to neighbouring countries. |

The Government does not show significant support to the production of biodiesel, as it claims that the existing use of biomass to produce elextricity and hear is considered enough. |
