This is a video report about

years ago, with surging
demand for biofuel from
Europe and riding crude oil
prices, investors rushed to
build plants to turn palm oil
into biodiesel. But with
falling oil prices and
changing opinions towards
biofuel many of those
projects were put on hold.
To adapt, biofuel producers
now have to be a little more
creative.

In France, the tax exemption is granted up based on the state quota. Each state will decide on the volume of Biodiesel to be granted a tax break and then call for bids from European biodiesel producers. After that, the state will decide on which bids to accept and the rexpective tax breaks given. |

In France, biodiesel is marketed in 2 ways as follows: -
- Blended with fossil diesel up to 5% and sold to general public.
- Blended with fossil diesel up to 30% and sell to transport fleets within the activities of the "Partnaires Diester". Currently, there are 30 cities participating in this program to promote the French Biodiesel industry. |
