Once of Malaysia's homegrown success stories, Carotech Berhad. incorporated in 1992, is the first and only integrated plant in the world to commercially extract vitamin E, mixed carotene complex from crude palm oil (Elaeis guineensis).

 In April 2005, Carotech Berhad was listed in the Malaysian Securities Exchange Board (Bursa Malaysia) under the high-technology/ high growth, ACE (formerly MESDAQ) Market, making it the first publicly-traded biodiesel company in Malaysia. This IPO  propelled Carotech to an unparallel growth with continuous emphasis on quality and science of biodiesel.

 Carotech's parent company, Hovid Bhd., is one of the largest GMP-certified pharmaceutical companies in Malaysia.
