      Special Feature

This is a video report about

World Business: A couple of
years ago, with surging
demand for biofuel from
Europe and riding crude oil
prices, investors rushed to
build plants to turn palm oil
into biodiesel. But with
falling oil prices and
changing opinions towards
biofuel many of those
projects were put on hold.
To adapt, biofuel producers
now have to be a little more
creative.

What is CaroDiesel™?

CaroDiesel™ - Refined and Distilled Natural Palm Methyl Ester, is a clean burning alternative fuel produced from palm oil. CaroDiesel™ contains no petroleum, but can be used in its pure form (B100) or as a blend with petroleum diesel at any level to create a biodiesel blend.

Can CaroDiesel™ be used directly in existing engine?

CaroDiesel™ (B100 or any blend) can be used in compression-ignition (diesel) engines with little or no modifications. However, it is advisable to use modified engines with proper heating device when a higher blend is used.

Does CaroDiesel™ have the same power as diesel fuel?

Biodiesel can be used with existing engines and fuel injection equipment with little impact on operating performance, in terms of power, torque, fuel consumption and haulage rates.

Does CaroDiesel™ still function in cold weather?

All fuels including mineral diesels have a low temperature operating limit, and CaroDiesel™ is of no exception in this regard. However, the addition of special additives and the use of biodiesel blends are applicable to reduce the pour point / CFPP and improve the flowability of biodiesel during cold weather.
