Singapore, Mar 16, 2009: Carotech, the first publicly-listed biodiesel company in Malaysia and one of the largest producers of refined and molecularly-distilled palm methyl ester (CaroDiesel) for biodiesel applications and crude glycerine in Malaysia was awarded "Certificate of Excellence" in the category of Export Excellence for Merchandise by the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
The Certificate was presented by Tan Sri Dato' Muhyiddin Mohammed Yassin, the Minister of International Trade and Industry, Government of Malaysia at the 2008 Industry Excellence Awards ceremony held on March 12 in Kuala Lumpur.
The Industry Excellence Award aims to honor Malaysian exporters that have performed exceptionally well in the global marketplace. Carotech was evaluated for criteria under the Export Excellence for Merchandise, such as Export Performance, Market Penetration, Product Development, Market Operation, Reduced usage of imported components, Recognition Received and Social Contribution.
"We are proud to be recognized in our efforts as a Malaysian company contributing to the big picture of Malaysian Exports. Now with sales offices in both US and UK, Carotech will continue to develop and expand our markets for these unique phytonutrients especially Tocomin natural full spectrum palm tocotrienol complex and CaroDiesel palm methyl ester for biodiesel application," said Mr David Ho, Managing Director, Carotech. | | |
